Horse aims to raise more than a pony for charity
A rocking horse handmade by people undertaking Community Payback activities has been donated to charity to help raise funds for a Cardiff hospice.
The rocking horse, fully carved, sanded and varnished by Wales Community Rehabilitation Company service users and their supervisors, has been donated to City Hospice in Cardiff. Proceeds will go towards funds being raised for a mini bus to help transport their patients to and from their day centre.
City Hospice’s Head of Income Generation Rachel Minchinton said: "We're delighted to have received this beautifully crafted rocking horse as a donation to City Hospice. We value tremendously the support we receive from Working Links and, as a small but vital local charity, support like this is essential in order for us to continue caring for Cardiff."
