Waving the green flag for Community Payback
A project that saw groups of offenders working to renovate part of a community centre has been recognised with a prestigious award.
Teams of service users undertaking Community Payback activity with Wales Community Rehabilitation Company have been working with The Stephens and George Centenary Charitable Trust to renovate and maintain outdoor areas at the Dowlais Community Centre in Merthyr Tydfil.
The project won a Green Flag award, which celebrates well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across Britain.
