Accountable for end-to-end case management either remotely or face to face exercising professional judgement and appropriate support, helping service users to meet sentence requirements and performance targets. This could involve referring to the interventions team or other provision whilst ensuring the service user receives the best support to achieve a positive sustainable outcome.
• Manage a caseload of service users that may present a series of complex requirements and risk; ensuring appropriate enquiry, investigation, challenge, advice and guidance is provided to enable progression along the service user journey. • Deliver services through a direct, blended and remote method within individual and group settings to ensure service user positive outcomes are achieved. • Ensure service users contractual requirements are met through effective case planning and on-going review in line with the relevant quality standards to achieve desired outcomes. • Undertake on-going assessment of need and risk to aid the development of appropriate plans to meet the needs of the service users. • Enable service user engagement and manage the consequences of service user non-compliance with their plans through the appropriate channels. • Manage accurate service user records, assessment and plans in line company standards to ensure the service user journey is documented in accordance with our quality standards. • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with service users to support the delivery of the service user/customer plan. • Mentor and develop a group of Case Officers to support them to continuously improve, assess and manage risk as well as deliver against targets. • Support and provide guidance to volunteers and mentors to help them continuously improve, assess and manage risk as well as deliver specific tasks • Work independently and collaboratively with internal and external third parties, ensuring appropriate provision is available to achieve a positive sustainable outcome. • Ensure compliance with our company policies including Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Data Security so service users, customers and staff are protected, at all times.
The successful candidate will hold the relevant qualification for the role of Probation Officer and work in a team to deliver the sentence of the Court to our service users whilst maintaining public protection and achieving our performance and quality standards.
The following qualifications are essential:
CQSW, DIPSW, VQ5 DIP in Probation Practice or equivalent (Justice)
The following Qualifications are desirable:
A minimum of GCSE A-C in English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualification) or demonstrable experience
ICT Qualification (i.e. EDCL, Intermediate Excel, Word Certificate) or equivalent demonstrable experience
Has achieved/working towards a relevant, recognised qualification in either Justice, Employability or IAG
