Alternatively our partner agency Safer Wales also run a volunteering service. Safer Wales Volunteering Service supports Safer Wales in offering support to victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, sexual exploitation and women offenders. There are many volunteering opportunities, including:
- Young person’s worker – provide group work support to young females. Working with them to build their skills, knowledge, aspirations and reduce risk of exploitation.
- Mentor – Provide one to one support in the community, supporting clients in increasing their self esteem, confidence and access to services.
- Group Support Mentor – Provide advice, support and guidance to clients, supporting them to increase their self esteem, confidence, skills and knowledge. Mentor will support the delivery of Agored Cymru accredited learning and centre activities.
- Evening outreach worker – Provide evening outreach support to street based sex workers within the Cardiff area. Volunteer outreach workers work as a team to offer advice, support, information and opportunity to access daytime support.
- Evening Outreach driver – Provide evening outreach support to street based sex workers within the Cardiff area. Volunteer outreach drivers safely drive the outreach vehicle during evening outreach.
