Wales Community Rehabilitation Company delivers, through its skilled workforce and in partnership, probation services to protect the public, reduce reoffending and make the people of Wales safer.
We work with around 8,000 low and medium risk adults, managing their community sentences imposed by the Courts, or released on licence from prison, giving them the knowledge, skills and support to enable to them to stop offending.
We are looking for enthusiastic Receptionists to deliver a quality customer focussed front desk service for our organisation and the National Probation Service. Each Receptionist will be a vital first point of contact for our service users and stakeholders, establishing their requirements and assisting them to gain access to the right people/support.
The Receptionist will report to the local Lead Administrator and will be responsible for reception duties including:
- Answering and directing telephone calls
- Greeting persons entering organisation
- Ensuring knowledge of staff movements in and out of office base
- Monitoring visitor access and maintaining security awareness
- Handling and distributing mail
- Handling petty cash
Successful applicants must have:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and typing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service orientation
- Strong organisational skills and ability to use initiative
- Knowledge of handling information requests
A certificate NVQ Level 1 in Business Administration, or equivalent, is desirable. The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and English is highly desirable.
